I’ll be honest: I used to be the worst sleeper. No matter how exhausted I was, I struggled to drift off, or I’d wake up constantly through the night. But through lifestyle changes and behaviour adjustments, I now sleep like a baby. These days, it’s rare for me to have a bad night’s sleep—no matter what’s going on in my life and that’s exactly what I want for you.
Difficulty sleeping isn’t just a night or two of poor rest—it becomes insomnia when problems with falling asleep or staying asleep carry on longer-term.

Poor sleep doesn’t just leave you feeling exhausted—it impacts your health, your mood, your focus, and your energy levels. But hope is not lost. With the right behaviour changes, environment adjustments, and therapeutic support, your sleepless nights can become a thing of the past.
I take a holistic but evidence-based approach to sleep. Alongside my experience as a Sleep Consultant, I am also trained in using Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) techniques for insomnia, which is one of the most effective approaches to retraining the brain and body for healthy, restorative sleep.
This means we don’t just treat the symptoms—we tackle the root causes of your insomnia. Together, we’ll work on both the mind and the body to help you achieve the sleep your system truly deserves.
Here are a few tips you can start using tonight:
🛏 Comfort is key – If you wake up stiff, numb, or grumpy, it may be time for a new mattress or pillows.
❄️ Keep it cool & dark – Use the correct duvet tog, blackout curtains, and turn off lights (including electronics).
📵 Technology detox – No phones, tablets, or TV in the bedroom. If you must keep your phone nearby, turn it face down.
🎨 Choose calming colours – Blue, green, and yellow promote rest, while purple, brown, and grey can disrupt it.
🚫 Bedroom boundaries – Your bedroom should only be used for sleep and intimacy. Keep work, TV, and studying elsewhere.
🛑 Ditch naps & lie-ins – They confuse your body clock.
🧹 Declutter your space – A tidy room creates a tidy mind.
🔕 Reduce noise & light – Move electronics at least 4 feet from your bed and avoid clock-watching.
